Susie Forman

Photo Director – The Red Bulletin magazine

Creative Photo Director at The Red Bulletin

Susie graduated from Falmouth College of Arts with a first class honours degree in Photographic Communication in 2000. She then kicked off her career in magazine photo editing on the picture desk at The Face, working there from 2000 until it’s closure in 2004. Alongside this role, Susie took commissions as a freelance photographer, shooting for publications including The Face, Dazed & Confused, The Times and Intersection. She also exhibited in a number of group photography shows at galleries across London, including The National Portrait Gallery.

In early 2005 Susie was offered the exciting opportunity to join a small team of creatives, founding a brand-new publication for the Red Bull Racing formula one team, to be produced and printed live at the racetrack. For the following four years this job took Susie around the world, travelling to up to twenty different countries a year. It was a fast-paced production, making four magazines per weekend and distributing them quite literally hot off the Heidelberg printing press they travelled with.

In more recent years, following life changes including becoming a mother, Susie continues to work for Red Bull, as Photo Editor of their active lifestyle magazine The Red Bulletin. She now commissions and produces cover shoots and reportage on subjects ranging from elite UK sportsmen such as Trent Alexander Arnold and Ben Stokes, to the rise of the Welsh rap scene.

“I absolutely love my job and consider myself very fortunate to be able to say that. Every issue brings a new challenge and the chance to meet interesting and inspiring people. Most importantly, I work with a small, solid team of people I both admire and trust.”
